Sometimes I am startled that it has been a year since we launched the Jennifer Young Training School nationwide, the year has gone so quickly. In lots of ways it seems like the school has been around forever. 

It must be a year as I am writing from Croatia, from exactly the same place as I wrote some of the courses last summer.
 
If we have met, you will know that my family are THE most important thing in my life. My children are still school age (just) and the school holidays are a time for camping out somewhere and being together.
 
Our favourite destination is Croatia. The kids do lots of water sports. I have an aversion to cold water. They do their thing with my husband. I write courses & try to keep work ticking over via my laptop and free wifi at a beach bar.
 
This summer I have been in reflective mood. I have been thinking of all of the wonderful people I have met during the last year.  I wanted to write just to say ‘Hello’ and to thank you for all of your help and support. I REALLY enjoy meeting people at exhibitions and on our courses.
 
Creating a skincare range for those affected by cancer and developing accredited post-graduate qualifications to allow therapists to work with them, and be insured, was, for a long time, a real battle. Sometimes during that battle, I lifted my head from the laptop, went to give a talk, or have a chat and a cuppa and was reminded that the battle was worth fighting.

Looking forwards – oh what a lot we have planned - more qualifications, some training centres overseas and a new skincare collection.
 
I’ll keep you updated.  Relaxed holidays don’t appear to be my thing – although, trust me, I find this a lot more relaxing than water sports.
